![]() ![]() It’s not distracting when gaming but are still a far cry from the “frameless” trend we’re seeing elsewhere in the gaming monitor world these days. The XB321HK’s we looked at in April were just about a half inch here, they’re a full 3/4-inch and a full inch at the bottom, which is definitely noticeable. The panel has thicker bezels than I expected on a monitor at this price. Even with a window behind me, glare was never a problem and the top panel makes it impossible to mount a webcam. I liked the “winged” look using the side panels gave but, practically speaking, they’re better left off. Acer has also included a set of three panels that can be attached to the sides and top of the display to block out light and other distractions. The monitor is also VESA compatible for use with aftermarket mounts. This is a smart addition as the base has two long legs that could make positioning a challenge on smaller desks and the swivel action provides some extra flexibility to acquire a good viewing angle. There’s no rotation but you can swivel the display 20-degrees to either side. ![]() It can also be titled -5 to 25 degrees, which is great if you need to stand up and stretch your legs. The XB273K offers a flexible stand that can be raised just under 4-inches. The rear lights weren't bright enough to light up the wall behind it and the bottom LEDs just don’t offer enough customization to be impressive. You can choose between five colors or a rainbow pattern, a handful of different lighting effects like breathing and bouncing lights from side to side, or to have your lighting match the most prominent color on your screen. Another set of lights hides inside the vents on the back. One strip is built into the bottom of the display, projecting downward for an underglow effect.
